ashes found on a roadside in san francisco. the ashes of dorothy cosmos.who died more than two years ago.were found wednesday. the box of ashes was on the highway 101 freeway entrance at south van ness avenue. cosmos' family says it's possible the ashes fell out of a truck during a recent move. a relative of dorothy reacts to the news. >>: i was upset and a little embarrassed. we were under the impression that her ashes would be scattered over the ocean because she loved the oceans respond dorothy cosmos was a san francisco native and died at age 94. she owned and operated the snack bar of ferry boat trips to and from san francisco in the 19-70s. dorothy's ashes have been given back to family members and now they are working on a final and proper goodbye.
